My 4th started out as a many-mistakes baby...I used the Secrist foundation(the one they state to not use thinner)using it on this type of hard vinyl was a big mistake...he was very very chalky and took a lot of layers of regular Genesis to correct...but not 100% perfect..yet Angelina is a lovely baby...I called her my mistake baby..but its very starnge that my nieces think she's my best work...happy and sad to hear this...so I guess when I think I'm getting no better even worst..I'm really getting better...
At times my interest staggers and wanes in which I lose all interests in reborning...but my love for babies alone push me into yet more kits...also more god-daughters as well..I have 7 now...

I think she GREAT!! I like the picture with the bonnet and looks like a little tear under her eye. The rooting is great. That's were I'm having my problem. Rooting don't think I'll ever get it right. Keep up the good work. Linda
Actually my rooting isn't that good..I love using very light coloured hair and it's hard to get a good spiral going..in fact I often lose the spiral completely..and instead I go on and lightly fill up the head with the hair.
This art is very new to me,I'm use to just building and repairing computers ...but because I just idolize babies,I've gained a slight passion for this art through a man's-view of babies with a feminine insight to the beauty of a child.
I'm sure you are better than me in painting techniques..meaning you use a step by step approach,I don't even have a consistant step by step....
I think she looks great for only four 4th. I haven't tried the Authentic paints yet so I'm not much help there but I can tell you alot of artist don't have a step by step technique to painting. I for me depends on the look I'm going for, the kit or just my mood ;) so hang in there I personally do not constantly reborn (I just don't have the time ) but I do get in the mood and will sit down and do one, it's very relaxing for me.
She's really cute! I as well have a problem with my own spiral!! hehe I always lose my spiral so I too just fill in until it's a full head of hair. I am still learning but sometimes think that the rooting will never come to me and be really good.
I have my own technique when it comes to painting. I am a self taught person and I don't say that I am a rebornist/ artist yet because I haven't accomplished rooting the mohair.... I get everything else lol but hey one of these days it will be good. I too think reborning is very relaxing especially when there is stress in or around me..

I get bored very fast..like a 4 or 5 year old...the easiest coloured hair to get use to do a spiral is black or brown..but I hate those coulrs on a baby...so I'm stubborn and use just blondes....1st thing is to do a small spiral in a dark hair colour..I do prefer Delta Dawn quality mohair for its esiest to work with...do the little spiral and step away from that work for several hours..then slowly add a tiny bit to that spiral at a time..do not try to finish it in a day or two
Well I'm one of those that hate rooting, but if it is worth while then it has to be done. I think my painting is quite OK as I have been a Multi Award Winning Porcelain Doll Artist, but I do lack the spiral skill, but know a good one when I see it. Some of the Pics on my sceen have yellow spotting, but the ones that are clear look quite good, the tear is clear and I dont see any chalkiness, by the way, I am curious, you mentioned a man's view, are you a male, if so I applaud you into this art............................. Now computers, well everyone knows I'm computer Illiterate. LOL XXXXX June.
