My 3rd baby is a larger babies 22-23" Rebecca(call her Becky)this name is only temporary until she is finihed. I really have to see her name in your face. She has 2 tones of premium blonde mohair, corn silk blonde from McP and light honey blonde from DDawn...she is a Janine sculpt by artist Romie Strydom, she is also not quite finished....don't ask me about my 1st reborn,"Felicia Addams"(Addams Family)I gave her to a 6 year old god-daughter who thought she was the most beautiful doll she ever had.

She's my 1st real attempt at micro-rooting..I spent 18+(slow)hours doing her hair(2 tones,2 layers of hair, top shade is mixed with bottom shade) If the hair wasn't so light to see,I may've been able to do a perfect spiral...and ofcoarse if my eye sight were better that would help.
But you know micro-rooting was fun...I broke 9 needles stuck my finger, hands and knees more than 50 times with the needles...but still had a blast.

Thank you Dee,she's about 90% finished...she was a rather expensive kit for me,compared to my first 2 which were only $34.95 each...but Janine cost me $137..without the eyes..she came with the body...and just like most of Sybilla Bos sculpts are simply beautiful,Romie Strydom sculpts are as well, especially Browynn.
My next kit I want to buy is the very adorable Holly by Cathy Rowland she is not only an adorable baby, but she is just like a little sweet angel in my eyes...CIN has her on sale now for $55..I got to wait to get the money...I just got to have that kit...

Aaww, I really like her, you've done a great job! Her hair colour is perfect for her skin tone, well done, she looks like you've done a lot more than just 3!
Thank you hon'....guess I put more love in my work on this one, cause of the beautiful this one has, that face has enchanted me,Romie had out-done herself with this sculpt.
She was a bit costly considering my first 2 kits were $35 each and she ws $137 with cloth body.
Thank you so much..I have so so much to learn...I tackle each kit differently..not because I much of an artist..it's just that I do not have a solid STEP BY STEP appraoch..wish I did...I just don't understand how many coats of flesh tone to do or what colors to wash the kit in before adding flesh tones...
That's exactly how to do it, there really is no right or wrong or even step by step way to do it. Each baby needs different attention in different ways (just like a real babe does) so what you did for one may change a bit when you do the next one. Your doing great by the looks of things!
Me, too. I approach each kit differently because each one is unique. I love the photo of your "Becky" with the pink dress and hat. I'm really impressed that this is only your 3rd kit.
The rooting looks great, too. I'm surprised it only took 18 hours. Of course, if everyone rooted at my speed, there wouldn't be any photos in this section of the forum. LOL.
Anyway... great job!
Linda
