Next couple weeks busy

This is a busy time of year for many people--graduations, end of the school year, Memorial Day in the US, vacations beginning for those with kids out of school, etc.

I'm getting ready to leave as soon as I can get all my stuff together.  I'm going to stay with my daughter and her fiance in Las Vegas for a couple weeks.  I am babysitting for her boss's 2 little girls (the oldest just turned 3) because their regular sitter is on maternity leave.  I'll be there for Lindsay's birthday (not sure if her twin sister is coming up so they can celebrate together).

Also Lindsay made appointments at wedding venues so it will be a fun and busy time while I'm gone.

I decided to limit myself on the work I'm taking with me.  I wanted to take my big Micah and finish it, but the doll is just too large to pack.  I'm taking a few heads to root or finish rooting.  We'll see how far I get.

I hope to check in here frequently, but have no idea if I can connect at her boss's house or if those little girls take any naps that would allow time to log in.  I'll figure something out.

By the time I get back, Pat Buffington will have her degree and be doing what she loves to do.  Hurray for Pat!

Gotta finish packing.

TTYL,
Linda

I'm trying to enjoy myself with my babysitting job without thinking about casinos and show.  Boy, wouldn't that be fun!

No gambling for me though because I'm worried about where the next dime is coming from.  Husband is still out of work so there's no income except a trickle here and there from my dolls.  Savings almost gone, too.  Can we spell S-T-R-E-S-S?

Or maybe I really could win money here?  LOL...  I'm not brave enough to test my luck.

Linda

Try to have some fun Linda. There are lots of things to do in Vegas besides gamble. I just love to watch all the people and sight see! Doesn't cost a dime (except maybe to get there).
A 3 year old eh? Well at least she/he can talk.

Yes, I have just graduated last night. Not quite to the point of "doing what I love" yet as since my daughter moved back home we're still trying to get adjusted and move things! Of course everything she doesn't want goes into "my shop" so now I have allllll that plus my own stuff to oust!
I did have a scare on Sunday though. I have been getting light-headed episodes and they got so bad that I took myself to the ER and they admitted me. I swore I was having a heart attack!!! Then got scared and put myself into what I can only call a severe panic attack (never had one before)! They told me at the hospital they were admitting me and all I could say was "I'm graduating Tuesday, so I have to be out by Tues morning!".
Well, after all the tests, stress tests, xrays, bloodwork, they did find out that my heart and surrounding area is like a young girl! All perfect, no clogs, no damage,... no heart attack!!! WHEW!
So I'm ok, just very stressed and hoping to relax now that graduation is over. So listen Linda, try not to be stressed!!! KNIM?!

cry    pat, as a long time suffer of panic attacks......i feel so bad for you. when you start feeling that way talk to your self, remind your self whats happening......if you can walk... i've had this for over 15 yrs and rarely use meds anymore. this is how i deal.....self talk helps alot. ceiling fans use to set mine off.lol..       but if you need the meds take them.  stress can bring them on.                                                  sage  aww

I've had panic attacks, too.  They kept me out of the grocery store for a few years.  I' would desert entire carts filled with food before I ever got to the checkout because I felt so bad.  Like Sage suggested--self-talk can be helpful.
