Hi Ladies, I just bought a kit from DD that was significantly discounted. It said the flaw was a cut in the ear. Has anyone ever bought a discount kit and if so what was you experience? I figured it wasn't anything big so I bought it. Only thing is now I'm wondering how big a cut it is.
Really!? lol It's the Hailey kit by Shelly Kniep right? Is he cute? I say he because I plan to make it a boy. Oh the is wonderful, I was nervous after I bought it.
I wouldn't care if it was something like that. If you don't notice it much, your customers wouldn't either after it's reborned. But make sure by showing some people you know but don't tell them first so they're not looking for it.
Thanks. It came in the other day and the cut is so small i hardly noticed it at all. I was so happy because it's just a nic. If i didn't know to look for it I really wouldn't have noticed. Maybe I'll check out more kits like that?
i'm so glad you like her/him, it was a great deal. i can't wait to see how he turns out. i'm doing my freddie kit right now. i got the cutest frog layette and paci at the family dollar store for him. it was 8.00, i 'm on pins and needles to see it on him. sage
Awww how cute! Can't wait to see him. I'm up bright and early today. Planning to repaint my dinning room and then start on my Molly kit from BB. The only issue with her is her kit is gray. So I was trying to figure out how to use the color wheel to fix it. Unfortunately I can't tell how to. I think I read someone say a green wash but I'm not sure. Hopefully it'll do the trick. I learned to take my time and use very thin layers. I chose Molly to start with since it's been a few months. If I make a mistake it's on the least expensive kit. Did you know that you can shop ebay for the baby clothes? They sometimes sell them in lots cheap! I'm going to bid on some. Some have up to 30 outfits, most of them brand new, for like $9.99. And they go for $9.99- $40.00! Not bad I think for that many outfits.
In my Mother and Daughter Class topic the m other did Molly, if you have a look after a few skin tone washes and a mint green wash, she has turned out lovely, I think, and so does her Mummy. XXXXXX June.
Yes, we only use acronyms in forum. You can mention the sculptor, the name of the kit, but not the full name of where you purchased it or where it's at (website). If you need more information, you can always pm like Kim said she has done here. :)
