Hi all you forumers! I just wanted to say a Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it. My family and I are getting together on Sunday to find Easter eggs, baskets, and have a nice family dinner together.
On another note: Linda, the other mod, should be filling in for me for the next few days as I have a funeral to attend. My husbands aunt/godmom passed away late Sat night from a stroke. I got the call Monday morning at 7 AM. So I will probably be away from the computer (unless I can get this old lap top to work) and so I'll not be able to answer forum questions. "IF" by chance i can get the laptop to work then I'll try to pop in here and answer some questions.
On a sad note sorry to her about the death of your husbands Aunt. Mine is going to be a very quite one just Sam and myself for the first time. But it will be a chance to catch up on some of the things I would like to do. 4 days to ourselves. I have bodies to make and and put some of my older Porcelain ones one as they where ruined and stained in storage. I have about 10 to do. 4 Vintage porcelain shoe ornaments to finish and 8 porcelain easter eggs to finish. Of couse they will be late. So all of you other lovely forumers, Have a Happy Easter. XXXXX June.

I am sorry for your family's loss, you all have a happy easter. After church my daugther and her fiance and little Joshua and my son and daugther-in-law are all coming over for dinner it will be a fun and blessed day.
I just popped in to wish you all a Happy Easter. I'll probably be here alone for most of the day so it will be a weird Easter. Two daughters live in other states and cannot come home for Easter, one daughter and her husband are on a trip to celebrate their 5th anniversary (yes, they got married on the same day that Pope John Paul died), and everyone else has been sick this week so they just want to rest and recuperate.
It's all okay because this means I don't have to cook!

Well to my surprise, My two daughters arrived yesterday. I was burning the candle at both endsSat night, trying to get all the porcelain Eggs done for the 8 Grand children, I'm still working on them. But I managed to get 4 Victorian Slippers done for the Girls, I must say they look rather nice. will post a pic in Artist Showcase. And when I finish all the Egg Noggins, will post a pic of them, the 2 small boys saw there almost finished this morning and loved them. I decided it was betterto give them a keepsake as well as a choc. Rabbit. XXXX June.
Thank you all for your lovely sympathies. It was very hard on my husband to lose this aunt in particular. He was very close to her. We left home (Minneapolis, MN) Thurs morning. Had to travel almost to the far south end (bottom ) of Iowa. Long trip and I thought I'd drive since I didn't know his mood-swings. It was a very quiet long trip down there. We got to the motel early evening, got a room, checked out where the church was (she was going to be there instead of a funeral home), and then went to have dinner. I thought it strange that there had been no mention of a reveual/viewing Thurs night. So we get to the church Fri about an hour early. The funeral guys greeted us, told my husband that he was a paul bearer and that we missed the viewing the night before (no one told us!!!). Glad to be a bearer but embarassed that the other 5 guys were in suits and he was in black jeans and a sweater. But everything went ok, his aunt actually looked like herself (some don't, like my dear granny), and he got to say some nice things about her. On the way back, we took our time, stopped at an antique motorcycle museum and we bought motorcycle helmets (matching pattern but not the same color). Quiet trip on the way back. He's still in a little black mood but "this too shall pass". So, thank you all again.
Glad your Easter's were good. Ours was good (had to make eggs when we got back on Sat evening). I was going to color them Sat night too but my youngest (21) said to wait for her as coloring was 75% of the fun of making Easter eggs! I still hid some for her to find and also her basket hehehe. Just had her, the boyfriend, and his mom over for dinner. :)
