Magnetic Pacifier on Tina
Permalink

Hi everyone,
I just got back into reborning/newborning after about a 2 year break.  I don't know why I stopped life just got in the way.  I thankfully saved all my supplies.  WOW I have tons too!! I cleaned up my nursery and really love this.  Anyways I am working on a Secrist Tina that I never finished rooting her hair and she will be done probably in a day or two. I realized she didn't have a pacifier so I was trying to glue a magnet and I remembered when I tried before the pacifier would never stay in the right spot so I couldn't glue the magnet in.  (sorry for so much rambling).  Has anyone had any luck with the paci for the Tina doll (which I call mine Baylee).  Thanks in advance!
Tami

I gave mine a paci by just cutting the nipple part about in half and then carefully glueing the ends together. I glued it so it came to a tapered end that just fits in her lips. It stays in there pretty well as she has parted lips. That way no magnet needed. No one ever thought that was weird or not good, they though it was cute and at least she had one.

Yes, I did the same thing for a couple dolls also.  I really wish there was a good way to modify a pacifier for every doll because I don't like using the magnets.  Has anyone got a good idea for making one for babies with closed lips without the magnets?

I have had a few people suggest/use "bluetac" but I think it leaves blue residue. So maybe the white stuff instead. But of course, it will get dirty and full of fuzz and stuff.

Hmmm... I'll have to think some more. lol
