The sculpt is Marissa May's "Meg" from BB. It's still hard for me to believe this happened, not in my wildest dreams. I was hoping maybe I could win one 3rd place, if I got lucky. I was stunned. The Crystal Rattle and check for $200 is from Little Dreams. The brush and comb set is for "People's Choice"-Reborn of the Year". I tripped a little going up the stairs for the 1st award and by the time the 5th one was announced a friend thought I moght pass out. She's my 5th doll and took 2 months to make. Yippee, I'm thrilled and feel so honored. I want to thank you all for the encouragement and support I have received on this forum. Sandy McGee
WOW! you have sooo much talent and the awards show it for sure. i love you baby, she is very nicely done and i can tell you took a long time on her! very very nice!
Better late than never, right? I got the stitches out of my eyelid Friday so I can see what I missed so much better now.
Sandy, I just have to congratulate you again. Your baby looks so real. Her complexion, hair, eyelashes, and... well, everything looks just perfect. I'm so happy for you!
Hugs,
Linda

I agree with everyone else, FABULOUS job and congrats!!! I am particularly drawn to her eyebrows, FANTASTIC! I don't think I have ever seen brows so meticulously done :)
Her overall look is very lifelike, not a lot of rashy (as I call loud mottling) stuff and coloring is beautiful and muted, just as it should be (IMHO). Did you have to go there or did you ship her? I may try my hand at this next year as I have a Ariella who (hopefully by then) will have a head full of human hair! It may take me that long to root it lol.
Hi Ladies - I did go to IDEX for 5 days. On Thursday and Friday I had all day classes. One was with Debbie Henshaw and the other with Stephanie Sullivan. Both were great. Pat B. - the eyebrows were done with the Secrist eyebrow brush. I learned how to do them from Pat Secrist at Tiny Treasures last June. The congratulations, compliments, and good thoughts mean a lot to me. Thank you so very much. Sandy ps Linda, I'm glad your stiches are out and that you are on the mend.
Stephanie is a really good teacher. Her rooting is phenominal! She taught a class at the Secrist factory (my first official class) and then I came back the next year and took the certification classes from Secrist.
