some things I've been up to and having my surgery Last Thursday. That little girl is not done. I haven't sealed her hair and not sure what body I want on her. I just hurried with her and drew them on. Was going back and fixing better.

I liked the baby Biscotti. Same baby...little boy is same sculpt. I got a batch of bad mohair and thought I would lose him. He's also sighned. The little lace dress was bought in a group of doll clothing. I got that dress by it's self, and the lady couldn'tfing the bottoms etc. But it's still really cute and soft I probably wouldn't put it in on a sale because it's not new. Did you recognize the little girl?

YOU ARE RIGHT!!! I GOT IT AND THOUGHT THE HEAD WAS TOO SMALL FOR THE WHOLE THING TO BE A BABY...SO LAST NIGHT (i HAD DONE SOME PAINTING A FEW DAYS BEFORE) I STARTED MESSING WITH IT AND THOUGHT MAYBE i COULD GIVE IT SOME LONG HAIR AND TRY IT AS MAYBE A 4-5 YEAR OLD. I THINK THE IDEA IS GOOD, BUT I HAVE TO DO SOME THINGS TO FINISH IT UP. THANKS.

I know you were concerned about the size of the head with Caleb. But it's not like the Louise head... it's definately not sized to go with the chubby limbs and torso. But Caleb I think is actually just right since he's a 12". The sizing looks just right in your pic hun!
I was relying on some info I got a very long time ago. Like the newborns head is about 1/3 of the baby's size...then it just continues to get smaller as time goes on or rather the ratio changes. I'm not sure what age this little girl is? I'm not sure what age it would be....maybe 2-5 range. Well I don't like the body I have on her. It fits her really good, except the legs are made like honey's and Sugars (Rupart). I'd rather this one to be made differently. I got one of Sec. and one of BB in the 12 inch size. The Sec. looks very large and wide. The BB is a good fit except legs. Anyway I think this might be a good look for Caleb and I'm sure one of my grand daughters would have a lot of fun with her if I can get ir fixed so it can take some Wear and Tear) as you can see I'm not making sence..I have some Ebay business to get to.

As far as doll bodies go, I wish I was a seamstress so I could make custom bodies to fit all the dolls. Most of the time, I find the proportion or something is just wrong. Not too long ago, I saw a cute bunch of dolls by a wonderful sculptor, but to me, the disproportional bodies detract from the overall realism.

The baby in the lace dress is the same one in the Baby Biscotti gown and hat which is a very soft pink. I've have 2 comments on the dress and 2 on the long gown. lol
I have three different babies and they are Kendall by Stephanie Sullivan. The one in the little puppy paws outfit is the one that I didn't know if I could save him or not. I then thought I could work around it and then he was too dark..then too light...then too red ande then too blue. Finally I just tried to finish up and now I think I'm going to make him into another here. I took the Kendall in the lace dress and she is sold I think. The lady was very excited and said she wanted that one. I told her I had other babies and she said :no...i have to have this one...I want this one.!! so she got me a piece of paper and pen and asked for phone number. lol. I took Aubrey with me today and ther was a lot of people that were surprised she was not real. Then the cashier was talking about her the whoe time and then had to hold her for me while I got my money out and straightened up (lol...well we had to make up something since they were very busy today. sorry if there are typing errors. I killed my last keyboard and this is a new one.

When I'm done with college (May 15th) I'm going to find my doll body patterns (I think they were Simplicity) and make my own. I have the fabric and everything (had it for quite some time lol) and I'll have time this summer. Gotta find a job after school lets out you know. First I think I'll start by offering jewelry repair at reasonable prices. Those jewelry stores get a fortune for that stuff! (I'm a jeweler and just finishing up advanced classes for it).
I love Stephanies Kendall and she looks marvelous in the Baby Biscottii :)
