Hello Everybody... I don't want you all to think I'm ignoring your questions. I'm keeping a list of messages I need to answer, and will hanlde them as soon as I can.
The ugly truth is... I'm under the weather. Welll, not actually the "weather", but sort of. It IS cloudy here and rain is predicted. The lighting is terrible for photographing dolls or even working on them. So... even though I am under the rain clouds, I've also been sick.
It started a few days ago despite taking Zicam, drinking water, and chewing Vitamin C. On Friday, my husband brought some fresh oranges home from one of the local groves so I had fresh orange juice.
And now I feel worse than ever so I'm going to take drastic action today and do nothing except try to sleep when I can. The lucky thing is I had an appointment scheduled with the physician's assistant at the Dr.'s office tomorrow for something completely unrelated. Now she can examine my head, too. LOL.
Hugs, Linda

Sorry to hear you are sick so close to xmas, hope he puts your head on straight too. Just a bit of humor. I know what it is like not feeling well. My brain cant handle much lately either. I'm just glad all our appointments for Sam is over and everything is OK. XXXX June.
Aww Linda....Sounds like you did everything possible yo try and hold this thing back, but sometimes there's just no controlling when you get sick. My daughter who is 8 1/2 monthes pregnant is under the weather as well. I feel terrible for her. She's had a rough time and this being her first to boot! Anyway hope your feeling better!
I got an antibiotic yesterday. I actually had a fever when I went to the Dr.'s office and that's sort of rare for me, thank goodness.
Anyway, I hope to be fixed up soon. I'm still fighting the sinus pressure but it is a little less than it was on Sunday. The newest thing is the cough. Just peachy. When I cough it wakes up the headache. When I blow my nose, my ears hurt.
Tina, I hope your daughter gets better before the baby comes. Sick and pregnant would be just miserable. I sure hope everything goes okay.
I told the Dr. that my daughter (also his patient) had taken my granddaughter (also his patient) on a weekend trip to Sedona where it was a lot colder. This is the same day that she had taken Katy in to be checked out because she was sick. This is the daughter who is really smart but is sorely lacking in the common sense department. The nurse just rolled her eyes and made some comment about first time mothers. Apparently, there are a lot of them who just take the kids everywhere even when they are sick. Looking at it from a kid's perspective, I think I would just be miserable if my mother had not kept me home when I was sick.
Anyway... I'm back, sort of.
No hugs as I don't want to make you all sick,
Linda

Hope you get better quickly Linda! :) It's no fun being sick in the first place and Christmas is coming! If you're like me (I hope not, 1 of me is plenty!! lol) I always have things to do at the last minute (like shop hehehe)! I am trying everything possible not to touch anything or any body at school. With over 10,000 college students (and over 6500 are from other countries) they make a mess and spread their germs alllllllll over the place. They've now installed hand sanitizer all over the buildings.
Thank you. I think though it's not a bug in her case....I think my little one is starting to feel the onset of her body preparing her for her little one. She's due the 3rd so she he can come along at anytime! Being a first time mommy, she doesn't know what these feelings feel like and just chalked it up to just not feeling well.
I'm feeling better. Like everyone else, I don't have time to be sick!
I have to finish a doll for a woman I will see at an event on Saturday. Really concerned about being able to get done, and staying up all night is not an option since I've been sick.
I sent a doll off to my great aunt who is 96. She lives in a retirement center. You would never know she is 96 because she is so sharp. It has been her wish to have one of my dolls. Her reaction is so comical and so endearing. She sent an email (what other 96 year-old women send email?) to tell me all the other residents of the center want a doll, too. I can just picture Delcie visiting her neighbors with her baby doll.
There was more... today she emailed to let me know that Abigail Grace slept soundly all through the night in her new home.
Tina, the 3rd is coming up in less than a month. You must be soooooo excited!

I am! Hoping she goes earlier! She's had a rough time for this being her first and all. All the monitoring they do today scares the heck out of an expecting mommy. They told her a c-section if she goes to term but if she goes earlier then maybe not. She's been having some discomfort the past couple of days so my fingers are crossed. Course I'm be happy no matter what the case as long as he's healthy!
I sure hope everything goes okay for mommy and baby! I think they go a little overboard on the monitoring. On the other hand, I suppose it enables them to take counteractive measures earlier if they find something wrong. Keeping my fingers crossed for the very best outcome!
Hugs,
Linda

Thank you. In her case I think they over did it. She was going 3 times a week to the hospital for monitoring for over a month! She only 21 and there are no high risk cases in our family history. I finally said that was enough! They weren't finding anything and she was having no problems is was just scaring her to death and starting to make her feel uncomfortable when she went. I think in her case it was all about the insurance.
I think some drs are just high maintenance! If there are no risk factors in your family they shouldn't have her going that many times a week. And what are they warning her about a cesarean for? If she has no issues there shouldn't be any need for one, especially if she goes to term. That doesn't make any sense :l Over 85% of first time pregnancies go to term or over (1 week over is normal, nothing to get worried about). I guess I just don't understand...
Well they're telling her that if she goes to term the babys head size may become an issue (my daughters a tiny little thing) But if she goes early it may not be. I don't know, all I know is I can't wait for him to get here so everyone can stop worrying (at least for now ...you always worry about them ) LOL

I'd just wait to see. Dr's are in so much of a state where they routinly do C's. I had one after my 1st baby (who was 2 mos premature) and was only 3# 10 oz. My second baby (13 years later) was 8# 14 oz so they said anything over 4# was too large for my pelvis. I'm no tiny thing and my great grandmother was under 100 lbs and was only 4'8" and she had several 11# babies!! It's the pelvic girdle that makes the decisions but those darned Drs... So I'm hoping everything will be ok for her and she doesn't need a cesarean! :)
Well looks like Santas last stop (the 26th) Will be at the hospital deliverying my first grandson. They scheduled her then, they also want to give her 2 shots of steroids before she delivers?? I'm not sure why but I'm going with her for her visit to the doctors when she gets them to ask.
Tina I'm so happy for you as I'm going to be a first time grandma my daugther is due March 10th but I counted the weeks he should be due mid February my daugther is 5' tall she has been having lots of back pain and little Joshua is very active, I will be glad when he is born just to get back to normal, I hope everthing goes well for your daughter and her baby.
Thank you Dee. My daughter is also about 5 foot and all of about 115 pound soaking wet before she became pregnant. Now she's about 140 and all belly! I'm counting down the days, hours and minutes until she delivers. It's been a stressful 9 months for us all but especially her. New mommies should be able to enjoy the experience and unfortunately she's been so worried about him, so she hasn't. I hope things are going better with your daughter.
Just tell her to rub her belly and think good thoughts of the baby. She'll be fine. I had issues too when I finally got pregnant with my youngest (after 10 years of infertility stuff and being told I would never have another baby) so I tried to concentrate on the baby growing inside me. It gave me comfort to just rub my belly. I don't remember much else about being pregnant but it helped minimize the trauma of all the medical issues for me.
I'll be home for the Christmas season and on line (although spending time with my oldest daughter home from Colorado) so I'll keep tabs on you from here hun. :)
Thank you Pat. She is constantly lovingly stroking her belly, but I see the worried mommy look =( So I told her last week to think nothing but happy thoughts, focus of her little ones journey, her preparations for his arrival and her love for him. He's goning to be fine I'm sure but I told her all this worrying is going to make in a nervous baby! I told her for the last 2 week surround him in thoughts of happiness and joy! After all he is Santa's last stop, a very special delivery. =)
Tina tell your daugther not to worry just put it in Gods hands he will take care of her and the baby. My daugther is doing ok she has lots of heartburn and back problems, she was a dancer for 12 years so now she is feeling all those hurts and pains from when she was a dancer she did tap, jazz, ballet and competed in tap so that was alot of stress on her body but she will be ok because God is on her side. Best of luck to your daugther, have a Merry Xmas.
My thoughts are with both of your expectant mothers. Tina, you've done a good job telling her that. Dee, my daughter was a dancer for 15 years (9 in competition dance, all kinds) and I can understand what she is feeling now. Tell her to try to do gentle stretches and light yoga if she can. That should help aleviate some of the tension. Stretching will be the best help.

Thank you Pat I will tell my daugther that, I spent 5 hours on xmas day at the hospital she was not feeling well she has a cold and was dehydrated and couldn't keep any food down so she was given iv fluids and other meds, she was able to keep the food down then they let her go, so I didn't have my xmas dinner until 9:30 pm my poor hubby had to eat alone but he was in heaven watching sports all day.
Thank you Linda and Dee, He is definately getting plenty of grandmom cuddles! Dee, Sorry to hear of your Christmas day at the Hospital but glad to hear she is doing better. Cold and flu season are horrible but when a mommy to be gets it it's the worse. There isn't much she can take for it and basically is has to run it's coarse. With my first I had morning (morning? HMM more like 24 hour sickness lol ) sickness so bad that by month three I couldn't hold anything done either and was dehydrated. The Iv I had at the hospital was like a miracle I left feeling great ( at least alot better =) ) .
