hi forum friends,

it's me again with another question. today of course is my birthday and i just got my little stephanie sullivan quads but, however i was alittle surprised about a problem that was very noticable. you see, i always get my eyes pre-inserted, so i have no idea how to put eyes in. well, my dolls came with the standard eyes already in a little bag with the ones i wanted in. the stardard eyes, as always were put in place with vinyl. i would like the green ones in, but i can settle for the stardard ones. so, how am i supposed to put tiny eyes in a socket with eyes that are vinyled in and are also very tiny? Any help would do!!confuseno

Happy Birthday Ivy!! Hope you got your birthday wish :)

I believe there is a thread already on inserting eyes. check the forum :)
But in short... go through the neck hole, cut the back of the eye socket open by using an exacto knife and cut the edge of the socket going only around the socket about 3/4 of the way leaving the rest of the socket attached (usually at the top so it flips up). Then using eye wax or something sticky but removable, insert the eyes under the flap, into the socket, position so they are both looking the same way, hold the flap closed and apply E6000 all over the flap and the eye socket gluing it shut. leave head in a cup or bowl facing down so the glue doesn't dribble anywhere. Let dry for 24-48 hrs. Then finish as usual. Remember, you must be finished with the doll. The eyes (if they are Secrist Real Eyes) can go in the oven but not the glue.

Happy Belated Birthday, Ivy!  I'm so sorry I was late with the birthday wishes.  

We have cable to access the internet, TV, and phone.  The past few days have been aggravating as we see the Cox trucks riding around the area while our TV screens freeze and our internet is off more than it has been on.  I hope they fixed whatever the problem.  I felt really disconnected.   Or is that discombobulated?  Oh well....

OH! thank you so much for the bday wishes linda, it's ok that you're late, i'm still waiting for a late gift that i'm hoping is coming today, it's more supplies! YIPPEE! i can't wait, well, i have to go watch for the UPS man to get here!biggrin
