Hey Everyone, I am in the final steps of finishing my baby. She is Josie from BB. The problem is her toes. Her big toes have no molded nail beds at all. They are just flat. I can not make them look natural. Plus I used the same color that I used on the lips and to me it looks a bit to pink to me. Question number one would be...would it be possible to use the 3-D medium to paint the nails on the toes with a brush to give the look of a nail bed? Or would this leave brush lines? And for the "to pinky" look of the nails themselves...should I go back over with a thin skin tone color? Has anyone done this baby before? I have seen her done, but never a close-up of her feet. If anyone has done her before I would really appreciate any input that you could give me. If all else fails there is always socks! LoL.
Is ther anyway you could take like a pointed file (like the set of 10 they have for sale and kind of carve it out just a little..being very careful and then maybe filing it a fil to make a slight indentation? I don't think it would work using the 3 D, but that's my thoughts. I do know the toes are solid vinyl. I would just do it very carefully. Hey..if you have some old feet that you could try it on, it might be a good idea. I've never done it..maybe some of the others might know a trick. You are talking of an indentation of the nail bed right? YOu know the 3D would lay on the top..not like the bed. Well...I went and got my Ember sculpt that I just got yesterday to see if she had those feet and she doesn't. *sigh*...I would be interested in finding out what you do and how it works.

Hello Alicia, I just received Molly from BB and her toes are like that they just have the indent on top but you don't have a side and nail tip, I don't know if I should send it back I don't want to pay another postage, maybe I could try to paint down the sides and tip to look like a nail, let me know how yours look when finished.
If you do just be VERY careful as the vinyl or vinyl/silicone may be rough and then you might consider filing with a very light touch to smooth it out for the paint. Otherwise you'll have a rough surface and the paint will look bad.
Hey everyone, thanks for the file/dremel idea. I never thought of the. I also did not know that the toes are solid. I am going to give it a try in the morning. On a test limb first...do not want another slip-up this close to finishing. I will take photos and try to post them so you can see how it turned out. Thanks for the advice!
