I made a silly little thing today, she's just 6" long, I call her Tutu the detail isn't great as I'm not too good at working so small, but she made me smile!

Thanks Tina! Funnily enough I've been re-vamping my site all day and have just re published so it looks completely different! I usually charge £250 for a life sized baby, less for smaller ones, the portraits do take a lot longer than regular sculpts cos they have to be just right. Thanks for your kind comments and interest! Abby x
Thanks Melinda! :) That is my ultimate dream to have a kit made of one of my sculpts and to see it reborn by others, but I have no idea how to go about it. I had a brief look around and it seems to be very expensive to have kits cast,I could only find one company and they charged about £700 I think for only a few kits.

Abby, if you ever figure out how to get a kit made and need someone to reborn it, I gladly volunteer to reborn the baby for you!

Do you like the way your sweetheart rose paints turned out? From the photos, I think the color is very true to life for a Caucasian baby.

Thanks everyone! Tina, if you ever do want them done please do let me know, I love doing portraits (and I'm flexible with prices). Linda, i'm not sure about the paints yet, I won't be sure until I've tried them on a larger baby. They are quite different to genesis, very translucent, they look like pots of jelly! They don't have the chalkiness of genesis which is a good thing, but I did think the colours in the sweetheart set were a bit dull, can't quite put my finger on it, but I thought the same when I've tried genesis pre-mixed sets too, so maybe it's just me! Every camera, monitor, etc. can display things differently. Lucky me to have a laptop that makes those paints on your doll look very real. Have fun with the paint experimentation.

Linda, I tried the paints again today and I am now sold! As they are translucent you do need more layers, but the result is very natural and delicate, I'll post a pic of the new baby when I've put him together so you can see if you agree. i think I definitley prefer them to genesis.
