Hi, again! I have another question. My mother gave me a Genesis brand oven thermometer that had been taken out of the package. When the needle is in the red area is that were you need to be? Just wanted to check. I know it probably sounds pretty dumb, but I did not want to screw up again!hmm

You are right...  You want to be in the red area.  The red area begins at 265 degrees.  If your oven shows the needle outside of the red area, your oven is too hot or not hot enough.
