Hi everyone, I am new here - I just love this forum and have found some very helpful tips which have helped me to create my first baby Zoe. Here are a couple of pics of her, I am struggling to get her eyelashes on nicely and I think the hair rooting will take some practise! Can't wait to work on my lollipop kit next Sarah (from New Zealand)
She is very cute! you did such a great job, and it seems you had the same problems that i had when i did my first, i'm working on my 5th and i just got the hang of rooting. the eyelashes are tricky, i put glue on a sticky note and then take a toothpick to get some in the crease, it works good for me. but, if you root your eyelashes you might want to ask someone other than me! i hope this helps!!
Hello I love the teddy picture! Your right rooting does take practice but the key to rooting is in the angle of your needle. Leaning your needle to give you a natural hair growth look. What problem are you having with the eyelashes? It's hard to see maybe if you had a better close up of them so we can see what your seeing it would help with giving you a few tips.

Hi again, I just posted a quick reply but it isn't showing on the forum? Is this the wrong way of replying to everyone? Thanks
Well I think my reply must have got lost somehow? I just said that I'm having problems glueing my lashes on - I tried using the tacky glue that is mentioned in the newborning dvd but half the eyelashes haven't stuck... I'm not brave enough to try handrooting the lashes - would love to be able to do it one day though Had a couple of issues with this first baby - melted the first set of limbs in the oven as the thermometer I had in there showed it as not being hot enough so I cranked up the heat, not a good idea! Then I had my needle snap and break when I was rooting her hair and the tip is embedded in her head - it went sideways and the vinyl closed up over it, so it's there to stay I think. Phew, definately a lot of work involved in creating them but I think I'm hooked
I think I missed this one earlier, and I wanted to chime in and say "welcome" and keep practicing. It's hard to tell what the eyelashes look like without good close-up photos. However, I can tell that the coloring on your Zoe looks just wonderful from a distance. I think you will find yourself doing better and better on subsequent babies.
Rooting the eyelashes on a sleeping baby is easier to me than gluing them. When you finally get up the courage to try, remember to insert the needle at an angle that will cause the lashes to lay naturally.
About that needle stuck in the vinyl of the head... uh (face red)... I've done that at least 3 times. Doesn't it make you want to cry? It hardly ever happens now that I've done a lot of rooting. Practice may not make perfect, but your rooting will eventually become almost perfect.
Again, welcome!
