Hi all, this is my first post as I have just joined so thought I would start by showing you my latest baby. I dressed her up as minnie mouse and she looked so cute. My nursery is called Baby Art Originals and I am from Australia. I am looking forward to chatting with you all. Chez
Cherry, Your baby Minnie is beautifull, I also live in Oz and have been making porcelain dolls for over 20 yrs, and am a Granmother of 8, I also fell in love with this new form of art, but after using artist paint, inks and finally GSHP. I absulutly love them. Not so passionate about the lenth of time it takes to root the hair, but would definately never wig one. Did you paint the bottom lashes on, if so they look amazing. I do love the setting arround her and her dressing. She realy is a credit to you. Glad you decided to join this forum. You may have advice for other new reborners, not so lucky as to have had the chance to make porcelain dolls before venturing to reborning. XXXXXX June.
Hi June and thanks so much for your time to me. I am also not a lover of rooting the hair but it has to be done. I do however love trying new ways and hope to find a way to root in one day Ha Ha. Yes I did paint on the lower lashes in the same way I used to do for the porcelain. I find that the stick on are just a tad heavy for the look I want.
I am sorry to have taken so long to get back to the forum and it may be a little while before I am back again because my beautiful mother is dying of bowel cancer and this past week she has slowly been slipping away from us. Perhaps tonight she will have to be back in hospital as she has become so weak.
I will catch up again as soon as I can Dolly hugs to all from Chez
So sorry to hear about her mom. Prayers and thoughts are with you. Just love the disney theme. She turned out great! Such sweet eyes. Never thought of painting lashes on the bottom, I'll have to give it a try myself.
