Triplets- All 3 finally done - Ronel

Well.. All three of them are finally done!! And I must admit it was hard labor, or shall I say labour. ..  I had one photo taken with the flash and the other photo in natural light (it is late afternoon and almost sunset ). Sometimes the flash makes a reflection on the vinyl  and it is difficult to capture the true color of the baby.  I wish we can get tips on photography. Any comments are welcome on the babies.

Thanks Tina. I am not 100% satisfied with the hair. I had a hard time rooting them. But I think the babies turned out ok. I guess the secret is ......the right needle and spacing between the hairs, and of course patients (lots of them).

Thank you! I dressed them just in a vest and nappi because it is very hot and dry here in South Africa while you are freezing that side. Booties and jerseys was no option...hehehe.

Your triplets are wonderful. So beautiful. I love their nappies. When I visited South Africa a few years ago, I got to hold and feed a 6mo. old boy who wore these. His Mama carried him all day on her back. He ate some type of cereal mixed with milk from a baby bottle with a big hole in the nipple. Feeding him is a memory I cherish. He was almost as cute as your babies. Congratulations. Sandy

Thank you for the compliment! Yes that mix is actually maize mixed with milk. That is the staple food in the poor black communities. Even if they are wealthy they still believe in maize and milk. I think it is a traditional thing. We have a lovely rainbow nation with all colors and nationalities, and I think our country is still paradise!!

Yes the nappies are old fashion, nobody uses them any more, the disposable ones are much easier to use, but I still like them for the dolls. It covers the body slip nicely and I want them to look different .

They are beautiful!! I want to do the twins that I saw on line. I can't remember if they were BB or Secrist. One doll at a time though. I have Secrist Sassy coming next.

But, your triplets are so cute. Are you keeping them for yourself or selling them?

They all look lovely and yes, cloth nappies are a thing of the past,so are Nappy pins. I used to wash six dozen a day and they were always white. I loved it, and was such a proud mum for it. Your babies are lovely. Congratulations. XXXX june.

Thanks June!!! I am still thinking about , if I want to sell them or not. And if, what would the suggested price be. What do you think is a reasonable price for each of them.

WOOOOO HOOOOOO   Good job.  Those are strange looking diapers, so you must be UK?
I have worked with one of these triplets and YES they are hard to do. I bought Tayla and she seemed to have a mean little stare the way the other girl did her.  She was shiny on her legs and arms, so I thought I could 'fix' her...well.....lets just drop the matter....and gently sweep into lower drawer  of heads, legs and boo boos  maybe called the cave!! batman.gif

Thanks Aviva!. Ag no man, pull her out of that drawer and fix her. You are well able to do it. Yes the nappies were top hits in 1910. (lol) but still handy though!  No I am from South Africa and they are still available....

I also don't like to work on some else's boo boos. But you know the kits are so expensive you have to save the poor Tayla

I like the second piccy the best as it shows them probably more realistically with the way the camera was. Is the second one natural light by chance?

Good job Ronel! YOur bubs look nice, especially together. I also love the nappies! When my older girl was born I used to sew all her outfits (she was premie of just over 3.5 pounds) and I made all of her nappies from flannel. She had the cutest little bum in America! It was more work with the cloth ones but I loved them anyway (sure went through a lot of them per day!).
My friend borrowed them for her little one, and then my aunt borrowed them for her bub.

I have Teagan and have not done her yet. I think she is adorable. I didn't want the others though for some reason. I also have Ella and hope to do her soon. I am now waiting on Honey by Rubert, I think she looks like someone in my family.

Well done on your bubs ;)

Thanks Pat! No the second pic was taken with a flash and the color is excatly as the pic. I am sure we all used those nappies... hmmm. now  you see..the secret is out. They can put 2+2 together and guess our age..hehehe.
Shooo how did you handle such a small baby. Post a pic of her when she was so little. I've never seen one so small!!! I made Ella as well but I did not like her very much, I think the one eye had put me off. (if we talking about the same Ella now, family of Joey and Josey?)  Good luck with your babies. I hope we will be able to see them soon.

They are beautifully done. I had a 9 week preemie and she looked a lot like them. They make you want to hold them. I love the one in the middle with her grumpy little face like the one crying is irritating her. Perfectly done.
