I have lost 2 different posts. Okay going to try again. I love the texture of the Secrist dolls. I've been working on Zoe for two days and almost all night last night. I put her head on, but I have to take it back off and work some more. She came out a little too light in the face. I like the arms and legs pretty good. Anyway..I took a couple of pictures and I was trying to upload a picture of my doll picture that is fixed to use as business card etc. But it was taking forever. I'd like to use something over on the left like everyone else has...almost everyone. Anyway here we go again!!!

Okay...I think I am through with her. I didn't do the internal wash...well I tried, but it was too messy. But she's okay. I read where they have the premixed wash so I though 'I can do that!!, lol...so I got my acrylic paints out and tried to mix it with the mineral spirits and shook that up....did you know that those kind of paints do not mix with mineral spirits????? They don't. So I used some of the flesh tone felt in her face on the inside. Guess with my next one...I'd have to do the wash. I hate anything that takes a long time...Like I couldn't wait to finish with the glue for hair, paci etc. I had to put her together and then take her apart...lol. I do that all the time..it's like I just can't wait to see how they look...lol. okay..here's a couple more pics.

I'm going to find a few pictures of Summer (Piper) as I was getting her ready to list and sell her, but never got around to it. lol I ended up picking a picture that I done last night of Kyra (tow head/blue eye) seeing a butterfly on her finger. And also one of Misty's head with hair. As you can see she's fair....I need to use the wash. I guess the best way would be to glue the hair in...make sure that's dry incase you hit that area, but I think I would take apaint brush and put it where it is needed. I would take her eyes out of course. What do you think? Would that be okay? Anyway,,back to the pictures. I couldn't find one picture of Summer/Piper kit...so I decided to take some. It might take me a little whileto make sure they are in the right size etc. She is a sweetie, but wished she had more pink tones. She causes a stir when I take her out places.

I liked the Kyra kit so well I got 2 of them. One I will do as a bi-racial baby with medium chestnut hair. I didn't care for her sister kit so well though. I like her as a toe head. You've done a good job. :)
That's the Piper doll. She's in several of the pictures. A friend from Ebay that is named Tina is the one that made the hat and booties. I showed her my dolls and then found out she's been doing them for 5 years. Yikes...that made me think that she must have been laughing at them. But she told me she had to stare at my tow head for 15 minutes before she could think what sculpt it was and that was right after I showed her the same scuplt with a bit body color different and darker blonde hair which was named light brown. So after I saw what color she came out, I added secrist 08 as a top color and it worked pretty good. You know...it was the Secrist vinyl that I was smelling on my Jody baby. I really thought she had something and wasn't telling me. The baby's skin is pretty rough and is dull, not shiny at all, but it's got a pretty 'glow' like to it. I don't know. it doesn't glow...but has a soft look to it.
OKAY..NOW YOU SEE WHO'S BEHIND THE KEYBOARD...AND I'M HOLDING PAISLEY (so proud as Jerry said she was beautiful )
AND THE OTHER PICS ARE WORKS IN PROGRESS MISSY AND ZOE. I DID THE WASH INSIDE, BUT PROBABLY DID IT WRONG. I'LL FIND OUT AS I GOT MY ORDER IN YESTERDAY AND WORKED ALL NIGHT..HEHEHE
