Stacey, tried to send this before on online dropped out. I have Sparrow to do, but am waiting on being able to afford to buy the bigger pots of paints. I think if you are aiming for a certain colour, you should stay with the light skin tones and do the shading and colouring where it needs to be done. Most dark babies are born light in colour and get darker as the get older. Secrists has Four to choose from, 19" Sparrow, 19" Starling, 22" lupe and 22" Tika. It depends on the look you want as to which kit you buy. There is a magazine I often purchace called Bambie, which is a range of childs clothing and they feature all different coloured children, it would be good to purchuse a mag that has bi racial babies, so you can get the idea on colouring. This is how I learnt to do porcelain dolls, I would copy adults, children and babies to get a certain look. It does help. You can look at my biography. Hope this is of some help to you too. Yes this does help. I have only done the peach/pink babies and want to explore different races (colors). I want to do the Indian baby for my mom, she loves the whole Indian/Aztech stuff. I quess you get comfortable doing the same thing, now its time for me to branch out and try different things with reborning.

You can either start with a neutral (peachy) colored vinyl or go with the bi-racial color. I really wouldn't go with a pink toned kit as you will have to color correct for the pink.
