As you can see I chose wigs for these dolls as this was a Christmas present for my 2 young grandchildren and I have much more to learn. I am excited about my next project and learning new skin coloring techniques.
Linda from what I can see they look good, painting and complexion is nice, but I don't see any lashes, which makes them look a bit starey eyed, I would use light brown lashes as this frames the eyes. Blond bends in too much and most real babies are born with long brown lashes or at least all of my grand children, and they still have them. XXXX June.
Thank you everyone for your encouraging comments. I did purchase eyelashes for these babies but was down to the wire finishing them for Christmas morning, and as of yet I haven't gotten to them. My next project will include rooted hair as well as eyelashes. I will be posting my work in progress as I will want all your tips and suggestions.
They look good and I bet your grandaugters loved them. I did one for my 6 year old grandaughter this CHRISTmas and her Dad called me to say whats with the doll I bought her a portable dvd player and lots of toys but this baby is all she cares about. Goes to show all the modern dolls that do it all girls are still girls,No matter how old we get right?
They are adorable! I made one for my niece for Christmas. She's 10 and when her parents asked her what was the big gift she wanted for Christmas (they each get a big gift and then a few smaller ones) She said a baby from Aunt Tina. Now her sister whose 8, is upset because she didn't get one . LOL My daughter who is 20 now, wants eveyone I make! See it's true no matter the age you never grow too tired of baby dolls he he he.
