First Dolls on e-Bay...No Interest!

riley.2.jpgRiley.1.jpgHi Everyone!smile

I would really appreciate any comments or suggestions you might have for these dolls on e-Bay.  I've listed one of them (Keisha) 3 times and have no interest.  Should I just give up completely?  Could it possibly be because she is not a "newborn."  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks so much and "Merry Christmas"!

Also, here is a picture of a custom doll I did for my son's coworker who loved her.  I don't understand what might be wrong.  Thanks again!

I think she is realy cute, maybe because she has a wig on has some thing to do with the sales,
I also had a 1st place winner on and no bids, so did a friend,
so I guess people ar just hanging on to there dollars at present.
Try again in the new year. XXXX June.disbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief

I agree with June. I believe people just aren't spending. When they do spend, they want things cheap. Unfortunately we all know of the time and money we put into our babies a cheap price for us is just not an option for us. Your baby is adorable. I found with Ebay other than people want things for next to nothing, they also look into the buyers experience regarding thier reborns(satisfied customers, feedback, ect) since most buyer do not offer refunds for dissatisfied sellers. I had a baby that I thought wouldn't sell, sell for over 200.00 and one I thought people would just fall in love with.. nothing.

Ya, it's really hard to imagine sometimes how evilbay can be! Buyers can be so fickle. And it seems to run in spurts! I wouldn't give up quite yet, maybe wait till after January. It is so very close to Christmas and sometimes that puts ebayers off. They want it for Christmas and maybe don't think they can get it in time. If I was a mind-reader, oh boy!

What the others said can also be true, wig or sellers feedback, even the outfit chosen sometimes. I think it all adds up or at least contributes. But then again, how can you get more feedback if you can't sell anything because your feedback is low... catch 22 there hun. Sorry, just chalk it up to it being evilbay. Sometimes its great and sometimes its really lousey!

Don't give it a thought.

Merry Christmas from America everyone!

It's true I had one on ebay and only a few watchers yet when I took it shopping with me it sold on sight. Same doll same everything. I also have noticed that there are a lot of prototypes on latelt and they are selling for WOW a lot. I have also seen some poorly done dolls that are selling way cheap sell it seems that the good quality mid range dolls with no big titles are the ones hanging around not selling.

In December I had a 34 inch Keiko (Apple Valley mold with an adapted body) go for $510.00 and a 42 inch Chris (also AV mold but with a larger body than AV offers) go for $288.00. These are dolls I normally get about $200.00 for on a good day so I was estatic. Last week I listed a doll very similiar to the one that went for $510.00 and saw her hits and her watchers go up and up and up, just like the first one and it ended without a single bid! I was absolutely crushed! The second doll, a 30 inch toddler I had listed did not have near as many watchers so I figured it wouldn't sell but it only takes one bid so I held out hopes. nothing . . .
So, I relisted the 34 inch in the expensive spot (I owe Ebay $100.00 at this point) and sure hope she sells. Last year I did terrible in December and did great in January. This year I am afraid is going to be the opposite. I am really stressed as my husband and I are both unemployed and dolls are all we have coming in for income. He applied for an unemployement extension a month ago and every week he gets a letter saying it has been held due to quesitons about his eligibility but keep filing . . . Surely Unemployement could get an aswer to its question in a month's time!! Grrrr . . . I hate this economy. I have always paid my bills on time and have excellent credit but now do not know where the money is going to come from to get through the month if some dolls do not sell. Anybody want to buy some great toddler and big kid dolls? I do custom orders too!

Yes, evilbay is a veryyyyyyyy fickle place. Hang in there, sorry to hear about your jobs. I hate this economy too. My daugher in Denver has been out of a job for 7 months now! So she's decided to go back to school. She didn't make diddly so they should give her a full grant (which still isn't a lot) but at least she can get most of her tuition and books pd for. then it's just getting a part time job and living with a roommate! YIKES!
