Well I did it. My first attempt at newborning. I tried a different technique on each baby so I could practice. Baby in pink #1, I did the regular way like in the DVD for beginners, but had really bad mohair...it was the stuff that came with beg. kit, so the rooting was bad. #2 in yellow dress I did with the berry maker although I can't get the camera to pick up on this. Maybe I did it to subtle. Rooting went better, still not good at this, but softer Mohair. #3 baby in blue I wanted to try an ethnic baby. Attempted to follow the DVD but was using premixed ethnic paints so I didn't have all the colors to mix as in the DVD. She mixed her own. I think the baby looks like those fake tan's! LOL. Rooting went better on this one, although I need lots of help on hair cutting! I had custom bodies made so that helped alot. I will attach pictures, I hope it works and let me know what you think. The ethnic baby looks more shiny in pictures than in person, and I know that the blue eyes don't go with the body color, but like I said I was just trying different techniques. Michelle H.
Thanks Mina! That's a great complement coming from such a talented artist like yourself! I just checked out your blog! I love your little babies. Do you have a website? MichelleH.
Thanks Michelle! My site is www.geocities.com/sugarbabystudio
It's a bit all over the place at the moment as it needs an overhaul badly...but when my computer guy decides to deliver my graphics program I can get started! lol
