I'll check the site Juliette, Only because I like hand knitted outfits, Can't knit worth saving myself. If I drop a stich ,I end up not being able to pick it up and besides, it seems to take me forever and I like it done straight away. Are you a knitter. I just love sewing. I can't chrochet either.

I wish I could knit or crochet. I have a friend who made me a bonnet and booties for one of my babies and she didn't even use a pattern. I was so amazed watching her. I will post a pic when I finish the dress that goes with them.

I don't knit or crochet. Well, I crocheted a blanket for my niece 13 years ago and knitted a scarf for my husband. It hurts my hands too much and I'm terrible at it.  Counting is not my strong suit nor is paying attention.  (I don't have carpal tunnel so I'm not sure why it hurts my hands/wrists). My oldest sister knits and she is going to make me wrist warmers for my birthday and leg warmers for Christmas!

I can knit if its straight and long, or square! lol
I can also crochet a "tam" hehehe and baby blankets or doilies. No booties or sweaters. I can do a stocking cap also. Well, I'm really limited. I learned to crochet from my dear sweet Granny. She never taught me to read a pattern though :( so I can't read them. I just look at them like she did and try to figure out how it goes. Or I look up what the stitch is and try to do it.

I give many kudos to those who can make those beautiful sweater/hat/bootie sets!!!

My daughter can't read a pattern either, but copy it andshe is marvelous. I bought a pair of silk booties and she copied them to a T. Her and my younger daughter are dislexic(spell check) BUt they are both crafty.,the younger one is good at photography and the elder is a good all round handy woman, building the cupboards, tileing, I just can't say enough about my three girls skills. The middle one is not crafty , is left handed, and is a bookkeeper.

Hi all,

I love the Garn website and used a couple of patterns for myself as well. For the rest I have been knitting and crocheting for my babies, my fashion dolls and Kish kids as well the last months.
Most of the time I have the smaller dolls in my lap and knit and crochet as I go along. Not much patterns for the really small ones and certainly not for the yarn I use to get the right proportions. My last avatar Taffy is dressed in a white set I made for her. This one is a reborn Jessamyn goes to grandma and I made her cardy as well.

There are lots of free patterns on the internet for babies.

Hi Pat,

Yes, shame on me! Glad I'm not forgotten.
Just to busy with all kinds of things, like knitting and crocheting for all kinds of dolls and real babies as well.
I always find it hard to start again after a holiday; I'm behind on everything and the longer I wait the harder it gets. Just started again on the forum and next week I'm again on holiday. (poor me). But this will only be a week and I hope to post more often. It's getting winter here and than I'm more indoors.
