Linda, the supplier here I spoke to personally, told me all the needles come from Germany. 42 is very fine and break easy, she didn't have any 40's so I got I barb 38. She is getting one with a folk in it soon and seems to think it will be good. 1 barb tkes in 1 hair and when you pull the needle out of the vynal the hole closes back up arround it. If you get 2 hairs and it doesn't look good ,get some tweezers and pull it out before you glue. I hope that is helpfull. June M from Oz

Yes, some people/companies do have a "minimums" limit unfortunately and we just have to either go with their minimums or go somewhere else to get what we want. I would say if you're not pleased with that deal then go somewhere where they do not have that. Most places that sell needles will have a minimum # of needles in a pack but may not have a dollar amount you have to spend to get them.

The current baby in my avatar (09/2008) is a Secrist Corey with 3/4 limbs. She is one I made and could not bear to part with her and one of the very first doll kits that Secrist sold when they came into existance some years ago. The hair I used is angora goat. I bought several goat hydes from a goat rancher, color the hair I need (still on the hyde) with hair dye (non ammonia), and cut strands off the hyde when I need them. That way there is no chance of matting it or having loose hairs roaming around randomly lol. I purchased her clothing from a woman in the UK.
I'm sorry about the pic as she looks very red/pink. I guess I should take a better one of her lol! ;)

She is beautifull, I wish my new one turned out as nice. June M from Oz. Getting a DVD on painting with Genesis paints from Ebay, Maybe that will make it better for me.
