I just saw this topic: POLITENESS PLEASE !!! and I was in shock for this comment... It´s just me? am I over reacting? It´s just that I don´t know what to think about it...
I have noticed a little rumble, too. I believe when these things happen (whatever it is) it is best just to ignore it and not get involved. It will straighten out, and the happy family will be reunited.
Hearts are made to break and sometimes it doesn' t take much to push you over the edge, the thing is, we have to stand up again and hope that this happy family contiues to be a happy family, but like most families, sometimes they fall apart for awhile and then mend, Love Conquers All.
I am trying my best to take care of all this and some have promised that all is ok now and no more naughty play or they'll have to have a time out and go to thier rooms lol. I love our happy family forum and it will be happy again (it's already started). I was out for 9 days with no internet and got several pm's about this situation. I'm glad to see that those involved are working it out.
Sometimes (and I'm not making excuses or taking sides for anyone) something gets worded wrong or too strongly and we take it to heart what is said. If you feel something and need to post, it might seem that way, PLEASE put IMO (in my opinion) or IMHO (in my humble opinion) after the comment so no one should take offence or get their feelings hurt. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I feel (IMHO) that you also have to take others feelings into consideration when posting out loud.
Thank you all, you are a wonderful group of "net-friends" (since I don't see you in person) and we all want to be nice and friendly here. :)
I have been gone for a while, but I have always felt comfortable on this forum. From what I have seen, people here are friendly and helpful. Hopefully a few comments (whatever they might have been) won't ruin it for the rest of us.
IMO stands for : In My Opinion and IMHO stands for : In My Humble Opinion. its just short form and saves time typing out the longer words. just like this one: LOL: Laugh Out Loud just means you found something funny and your laughing. There are so many slang words now days. Hard to keep up at times.
Well, it's 9am here and I suppose you still have your little head on your pillow, Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite.( Old saying.)June M from Oz
Hola Susan, This time difference has me fooled but now if I want to ring Northern Ireland I check on my mobile phone, as to what time it is, but because you live over the other side I just presumed it was late there too. Best of luck for almost tomorrow, I went back to bed, looked my granddaughter inthe room with me and fell back to sleep. Best of Luck from the Little Leprechaaun, that lives in our house too' You'll pass with flying colours. With Love from Me to You.June M from Oz
IMO (in my opinion) or IMHO (in my humble opinion)
Susan, here you go. I just highlighted it for you. I didn't know at first what it meant either (and I do speak English) lol. That's why I put the meaning in ( ) for everyone as we have a lot of non-American English speaking people on forum. I say non-American English because the "English" don't speak it either, not the way we do in the USA. Apparently when the English language came to America, something went wrong and we have our own words for things. So don't feel bad :)
Thanks Pat! Silly me I didn´t saw the in () text! hehehe I´m learning not only about reborning here but english too! hehehe =)
And June thanks you for your best whishes! I complete my test yesterday and now I have to wait and see how it goes. By the way, or btw as you all say, who is Little Leprechaaun? Hugs! =0)
Leprechaun,( Only one a), He is the what the Irish call the little People supposed to bring good luck, have a pot of gold and we give him a Shillelaagh(like a walking stick)He's a little old man. So is my husband, Came out from Nth Ireland Nov 64 Dated him xmas and new year eve 65 and got married to him, the little Leprechaun, 13 days later, but he didn't bring the pot of gold. But we have almost been married 43 yrs. So you don't need the gold to get through the rough times. I've made three only one I sits on a log and he got 100-100 in comp as Walsing Matilda,Our Australian Swagman, a person, not owning a house just living off the land. It used to be sung as our national anthem, but not now, When I can find photos, I'll copy like I did with the fairies and post them, June M from Oz.... Does that explain.. Similar to faries and angels.
Oh yes now I know what a Leprechaun is! I don´t know if this is a bad version of what a Leprechaun really is but here in my country we said that the "Leprechaun" (we don´t know him by this name) lives at the end of the rainbow and the have a pot of gold, and as you said he is a simbol of good luck. We also think that he have green clothes and a hat whit a clover.. hehehe
I don´t know if any of that is right, but that´s what we thing here in Costa Rica. But know i´m happy to know the real name of this little man! Gracias June! =0)
