yes your right the set-up and pack down were equally exhausting. My dad came down so we had both cars but he was unable to help with any of the heavy lifting as he had surgery on his back not even 2 weeks ago. And while not in any pain etc he's not to lift a thing. and my mum has her own back problems which the specialists have said that in time will lead to her needing the L4 and L5 vertabrea fussed... dad had a prolapsed disk protrusion trimmed. So was left with all 40kg of me to do most the work!! I'm suprisingly strong given my little weight.

Today just flew by though, i did sleep in a little but then went out to do the banking stuff - which required me trapsing to 3 different banks (as have 2 credit cards with 2 different banks to where i have my main savings account). I shot (photographed) little Pieta this afternoon after unpacking everything and then listed her on ebay. I have 15 babies to list but am not going to flood the market with them all at once, i'll list another tomorrow and then leave it maybe 3 or so days before listing a third. I think three a week is reasonable without giving too many options all at once which could lead to lower closing prices on the auctions -- at least thats what i'm thinking.

As for the 5 babies that did sell at the show - Ryan (butterfly kisses) was the first to go mid morning on the first day (friday) and the only sale of that day. Saturday was the best day in terms of sales, seeing 4 babies off to new homes. Emma (secrist sparrow) was laybuy'ed by a 17 year old who came to the show after seeing my babies in the show advertising. She came only to see me (and my babies), and fell instantly in love with Emma. She spent a good 2 hrs at the stall just holding her. Such a lovely girl who reminded both mum and me of myself at that age. I sent her home with Emma's certificate with her pics on it and emailed her with all of Emma's pics today. She's doing a traineeship in childcare and was such the little "mum". I'm going to have her come and make a baby with me just for the cost of the kit she chooses -- i had an overwhelming interest of ppl wanting to do classes, i told this girl she can be my guinea-pig before i offer any real workshops... i don't even know if i'd be any good at teaching others. But really she was just such a sweetie and so much like myself at 17 i couldnt help but just want to take her under my wing.

my 3rd and 4th sale went to the same woman, adopting both "melita" (secrist missy) and "Kyle" ("chase" by nicole jr). Lastly was April to be adopted (secrist "acorn"). Sunday the 3rd day/last day of the show saw no sales at all.

I have had one email today regarding custom order of look-a-like babies by a woman who wants both herself and husband reborn. She's just looking for the *perfect* pics before getting back to me.

This evening... after suffering great withdrawal from actually making any babies i've started the painting on BB morgan. Its been over a week since i last did any actual work on a baby -- its been awful, the longest stretch of time lapsed since i created my first back in dec... i told you all i'm beyond obsession and moving into grounds of compulsion and i wasnt joking LOL!!!

I got the BB "morgan" from a woman who came in and brought this with her, she'd gotten the doll but it didn't have a body and was wanting to know if i had them or could/would do a body slip for her. She'd gotten it off of ebay... it had been "worked" but was sold un-assembled. The "work" that had been done on it was very very minimal, a little blushing and some lip colour, eyebrows and eyes (but no eyelashes) and had been given hair (which was *meant* to be blonde but looked more yellow/green). Anyway, i just couldn't stand to let such a beautiful kit be and asked if i could re-reborn it for her. I hate to be critical but given it was sold without a body i'm guessing that it was someone who'd given it a go but didn't take to it or got too frustrated and so just sold it as is. So long story short she jumped at the opportunity for me to re-work this bub (i'm only chaging $50 seeing as it was me who asked her if i could re-do it rather than her asking me). I'd not done this kit as yet so for me it means i get the chance to work another sculpt i'd not yet gotten to do without the outlay of buying the kit. She's a real pretty little thing and i'd not realised just how much so by the example pic on the BB site. I'd thought she was nice but nothing amazing, i've changed my mind and am in love with this sculpt.

I stripped it all back and scalped her and started over... only i forgot to take before pictures which i'm kicking myself over as it really would have been great to compare in the end.

anyway... i will get back here and around the borads more so tomorrow... i am back ... i promise!!!!

it was interesting to see though that at the show the secrist sculpts were my better sellers given that of the 20 i had for sale only 7 were secrist. But of my 5 sales 3 were secrist. i'm no mathmatic genius but i'd think thats a pretty high end result ratio... i wonder why they don't do as well on ebay!!!

anyways loves and loves
