Thanks Naomi , for spelling out our way of saying things, you had chicken, I had scrambled eggs, I had a friend rang me once and asked what I was having for dinner, I said I was having a baked dinner, she thought she might come over untill, I said , yeh, 2 fried eggs and baked beans on toast. But I do feel as though most of us will be able to get the hang of this new forum. If I can, all you young ones, it should be a breeze. ie. (easy)June M fromOz.
actually its quite inspiring to see the more "mature" generation open their self to learning new technology - for me, and those near my age group, this is what we've grown up with.
Take the technology away and i think we'd all go mad! The power goes out for 2 or 3 hours and we're lost - no TV, no music, no heating (or air-con), no computers, no internet, no microwave or oven (unless your on gas, but most of us don't use the oven - we don't cook) - we're lost without our entertainment, most of us have no idea how to feed outselves without a microwave (whats cooking if not to shove a frozen something in their for a minute or two??).
force us to resign our technollogy and before you know it we'd probably be curled up in a featal possition before the end of one full day!!
Naomi, when old Joe was premier of Qld we had nothing but power strikes, thats when we had a baby boome. We,ve had quite a few black outs here but we are not into baby booming any more ,so it,s a cheap little portable gas stove and a saucepan and canndle lit dinner.June M
