Taking paint off dolls, in Oz we have been told about a product called goof off, you can by it in our hardware stores. I haven,t tried it but another reborner has and said it was successful. June M from Oz. yawn

Yes, it is very successful but EXTREMELY HARMFUL TO YOUR HEALTH!! Use with rubber gloves and outdoors if possible. Wash parts immediately in hot sudsy water to remove most of the residue it will leave behind.

If you wish more information, I will try to locate the MSDS on it or you can google the stuff and find the manufacturers website. It is used here in America as an automotive and aircraft parts solvent to clean motor parts!

I used it on my first two dolls who were true reborns. Then switched over to kits! I just used it again a couple of days ago for a doll I was unhappy with the painting. I strongly suggest buying kits and *only* using goof-off if you are having to strip a doll that has been heat set and there is no other way to do it! That stuff is NASTY!
